SUSAN POSNICK COSMETICS

BLOCKS THE SUN FOR

SKIN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Protective Cosmetics Line Partners With The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Shade Across America Program to Protect Children

Dallas, TX (April XX, 2008) – Just in time for Skin Cancer Awareness Month and the summer sun season, Susan Posnick Cosmetics today announces their support for the Skin Cancer Awareness Foundation’s Shade Across America program through sales of COLORFLO mineral foundation with SPF 26.  The program, dedicated to providing sun protection for children, supplies shade covers to schools across the country.  Susan Posnick Cosmetics will donate a percentage of May sales of COLORFLO up to $10,000.

As the risk for skin cancer increases dramatically after just five sunburns, the amount of time children spend in the schoolyard without shade cover can be dangerous.  The rapid disappearance of the ozone layer also contributes to the loss of a natural filter from the harmful rays of the sun—with each year, the rays become more and more dangerous.  As a skin cancer survivor, Susan Posnick is passionate about sun protection and shielding children from the sun.  After her diagnosis in 1999, Posnick, a celebrity makeup artist, set out to create high quality makeup with sun protection that would not melt off in the summer heat.  COLORFLO mineral foundation with natural sun block of SPF 26 is a direct result of Posnick’s experience with skin cancer.

“The damage that causes skin cancer later in life occurs at a young age,” said Posnick.  “Ensuring that children are not subjected to the sun’s harmful effects is essential to limiting skin cancer in future generations.  Working with the Skin Cancer Awareness Foundation’s Shade Across America Program is a natural step us.”

"We aim to protect our children from the sun’s harmful rays in ways that will be unobtrusive to their lifestyles and play,” says William Barth, President & C.E.O. for the Skin Cancer Awareness Foundation.  “Susan Posnick Cosmetics is a likely partner for Shade Across America as we share similar philosophies on how to protect yourself from the sun," adds Barth.

The program will run throughout the month of May, raising crucial funds for sun protection and skin cancer awareness.  Consumers can purchase COLORFLO at www.susanposnick.com as well as fine apothecaries, spas and retailers nationwide.
