Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!
We live in an era of great strides in many fields, but one of these wonders of technology can make lifelong wishes come true.
No one in this life is perfect, and it seems the majority of us are always looking to tweak ourselves to get as close to perfection as we can, and some spend a literal life's fortune trying to attain the unattainable.
To some of us, perfection is not our goal. We aren't worried about a little peach fuzz on our face or other extremities visible for all to see, but in cases where these imperfections are so different, so noticeable, that they actually become the focus instead of just part of the package that is ours. This is especially challenging for a child.
Having said this, about a year ago while I sat in Dr. David Feinstein's office waiting with my husband for his appointment, I was perusing the selection of magazines and suddenly something really caught my attention - a brochure for "Enlighten." This procedure seemed too good to be true. I was so excited when I got home, I immediately telephoned our daughter and told her I was going to make both of us an appointment to find out more about this, and as they say, the rest is history.
I have always had very dark course hair on my arms, upper lip and chin since I was a young woman. My daughter is a beautiful young woman who has inherited this trait from me.
I was so excited to think it might be possible that the "Enlighten" technology might be attainable for my daughter and not just for movie stars and the like! Well after our consultation, just the look on our daughter's face when she was told it was possible that a lifelong dream could be fulfilled for her, spoke volumes and made this mother's heart so full of happiness.
Not only have we seen results we never dreamed possible, but more. Having this done has made what others take for granted a blessing for us as well. It has made getting ourselves ready for the day a much more "ordeal-free" event. Its made casual time just that. No more arduous routines of plucking and camoflauge for an outing. This technology has not been a vanity trip for my daughter and me. Its been a life-changing experience. We no longer are concerned about whether someone is looking at our appearance rather than listening to what we may be saying. Being difference is always a challenge for people, but being out of the norm has not only character building properties, but becomes the focus instead.
Kari Feinstein has not only been our professional through this process, but we consider her a friend. Kari's demeanor makes you feel so comfortable and reassured. You never know what kind words and compassion mean when dealing with things that are of such a personal nature.
We thank God for allowing this technology to be learned and shared by folks like Kari Feinstein!
