Benefits of Pulsed-Light Hair Removal
Any area, except around the eyes. The underarms, legs, back, bikini line, face, neck, etc., can all be treated…fast! What should I do to prepare for my treatment ? Shave the area 1 to 3 days before your treatment so that there is only a little prickle. Click here for an example of the growth we would like to see. Quick and easy! After your initial preparation, your
treatment provider will move a wand-like hand piece over your skin. The
hand piece emits a light that disables the hair follicles. Most people
perceive the light as a gentle “snapping” sensation. Most people experience some mild redness and tenderness
in the treated area shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with
normal activities and usually subsides within a day. In some cases, the
redness may last longer, but will still be mild and temporary. Pulsed-light systems and lasers are very similar and remove hair in basically the same way. However, the Pulsed Light Systems use a new technology that removes hair up to ten times faster than lasers. There is a huge range in technology and it is important for our clients to know that we have the newest, safest, and most powerful light-based aesthetic system in the world. Are There Any Adverse Reactions to Treatment? You may experience temporary redness and a mild “sunburn”- like effect that may last a few hours to a few days. How Many Treatments Will I Need? The number of treatments varies depending on the person,
the body part being treated, and how much of the hair is in the active
phase of growth. Your treatment provider will be able to give you a better
assessment after consultation. |
